Casolare di Rietine has benefited from a major makeover and a luxurious contemporary finish now enhances the historic charm of this traditional Tuscan property. Its location is picture-perfect; built into a hillside and surrounded by olive groves, vineyards and an oak forest, it also puts you on the doorstep of the Chianti market towns of Radda and Gaiole and within easy reach of Siena.

A tasteful eye has been cast over this supremely comfortable villa. Beamed ceilings, tiled floors, large windows and glass doors provide a beautiful frame for a contemporary interpretation of the space, which is decorated in pastels with colourful accents, and set with plush furnishings and indulgent touches such as the roll-top bath in one of the en-suites. It’s spacious and well-designed, too; there’s plenty of room for a group of up to eight and the addition of an annexe for two of your party offers a little extra privacy. Outside, the large private pool is bound to be a regular haunt, as are the furnished terraces, including the gorgeous main veranda sewn with a canopy of hibiscus, and a second raised spot for dreamy views of the hilltop village of Lecchi.
