In fact, one of Tuscany’s showstoppers, the hilltop town of San Gimignano, with its seductive cluster of medieval tower houses, is just down the road. (While there you can also try the celebrated local white wine, Vernaccia.) There is more medieval treasure to explore nearby, too – Volterra, Florence, Siena to name three other jewels.

You could go to the beach, the shores south of Livorno are easy to reach in the car. But then there is a private pool at your villa, a property that is divided into three, providing a great solution for friends or family who like to holiday together but enjoy a little privacy.

On the ground floor are two seperate one-bedroom apartments with large living areas redesigned for cooking, dining and relaxing. External stairs lead to the second first-floor apartment, with a double and a twin bedroom, shower room, living-diner and a kitchen, doors from which lead to a terrace large enough to enjoy a meal on.

You can also eat al fresco in the shady gardens below or cross the lane to lounge by the pool on its wraparound sundeck. You’ll surely want to point the loungers in only one direction, towards those medieval towers on the hill beyond. That’s right, this villa also comes with your very own private view of beautiful San Gimignano.
