Poggio a Mandria

Montegonzi - Cavriglia - Arezzo and Cortona

10 5 5 Private Pool
Poggio a Mandria is a beautifully restored, stone villa on three floors with a large private pool and tidy gardens, dotted with olive trees and colourful blooms. What’s more, this property draws the eye out across a dreamscape of vine-clad hillsides, with hardly a building in sight to spoil the view. With five bedrooms and a selection of spaces for socialising and relaxation, inside and out, this property is a good choice for a large party of up to 12 friends or family holidaying together. One thing’s for sure, everyone is bound to congratulate you on your taste – this villa’s exposed stonework, warm terracotta floors and wooden beams are a Tuscan treat for the eyes. Plus, the comfy furnishings, atmospheric lighting and a large fireplace are instant pleasers, creating an inviting space especially for reading or playing games in the evening.

Outside, cooking up meals on the barbecue to eat on the furnished terrace is bound to be a favourite pastime. The terrace is a perfect place for relishing the gorgeous views, or contemplating the blue sky from a sun lounger around the large pool is also likely to be a popular choice. When you finally stir, the nearby village of Montegonzi is a short walk away. Or head for the town of Cavriglia, a quick trip by car, which has a wider choice of shops and eateries. Walkers and cyclists will particularly like this spot because there are plenty of country lanes to explore, while art and history buffs will appreciate being just an hour from Florence.

The owner lives on the estate approximately 80 meters from the villa. The owner’s dog is on site.

We all had a relaxing time over the week .. the following suggestions are made in good faith ... bbq design was such that it wouldn't draw so not produce enough heat to cook properly. The hosts didn't know about a daily bread delivery made each morning to the village. The villa is very remote and another time we would choose a location with a shop and restaurants we could walk to. Osteria montegonzi nice food .. walkable with fit friends!! Cavriglia rose garden ... may/June Siena .. more friendly & walkable than Florence

To Tuscany team comments for this review:

Thank you for your feedback. We're glad you had a relaxing time at the villa. We're sorry to hear about your experience with the barbecue and appreciate your input, we will feed this back to the team onsite. Regarding the bread delivery, it's an informal service in the village square and can be quite unreliable and sporadic, therefore do not like to mention the service to guests to avoid disappointment. We do hope we see you in Tuscany again soon!
