Villa Collombroso

A charming and spacious villa in the Umbria region, Villa Collombroso is a private retreat surrounded by forests and fields.  The villa dates back 400 years and has been beautifully restored into a comfortable holiday home, with a very pretty well maintained garden. The village of Porano is only 4 km away and guests also have easy access to the historic city of Orvieto. There are several terraces at the villa, a large one on a lower level with access to the garden and pool area – a great place to enjoy the sunshine. There are two other: a cosy one with sofa and chairs with an umbrella, and a sheltered terrace with dining table next to the modern kitchen to have al fresco dinners and enjoy food and drinks together. This terrace also features a barbeque. Privacy is created in the garden by lush green hedges.

Even the air feels fresher here at Villa Collombroso. Its interior is spacious, but still with lots of character and the gardens are neat without ever looking or feeling artificial. Instead, it’s a lush and varied area of land with stretches of lawn, patio, hedgerows and trees. A very private location, perfect for enjoying a well-earned break from the busy world. The open plan kitchen diner area is most certainly a stand-out feature. Thanks to the wide windows on all sides and the comfortable corner sofa, this a bright and welcoming reception room for a group to spend quality time together. What’s more, there’s enough space throughout the house and grounds for personal privacy as well as communal gathering. A wonderful Umbrian escape.
